Turkish Airlines hosts Annual Travel Agencies Awards

DOHA: The Qatar office of Turkish Airlines, the national flag carrier of Turkey, hosted its Annual Travel Agencies Awards at the W Doha Hotel on April 10 to recognise partners for their support and contribution to the growth of passenger traffic from Qatar to İstanbul. 

The ceremony was led by Mehmed Zingal, General Manager of Turkish Airlines’ Qatar office, in which participating travel agencies received their plaques of appreciation for their constant efforts with Turkish Airlines in 2017. In appreciation for their contribution and constant support, Turkish Airlines have awarded five travel agencies.  

The 1st ranked plaque of appreciation in total sales and best business class sales were presented to Regency travel & tours.  The 2nd ranked plaque of appreciation in total sales was presented to Al Tawfeeq Travel. In 3rd rank came Nassir Bin Khalid Travel & Tourism group. Amongst the crowned were also Overseas Travel Bureau and Trans Orient Travel Agency. They were recognized for their contribution in achieving the highest increase in sales. 

“The event was a form of expressing our deepest gratitude to the constant support and contribution to the business relationship that local travel agencies have with Turkish Airlines Qatar”, said, Mehmed Zingal, General Manager of Turkish Airlines’ Qatar “We acknowledge the value of the Qatari market and how crucial it is for our growth. We look forward to reinforcing these ties and joint efforts in 2018 with hopefully another year of successful partnerships.”

In 2018 alone, Turkish Airlines has inaugurated 3 new destinations to their flight network; Aqaba in Jordan, Freetown in Sierra Leone and Samarkand in Uzbekistan.
