The representative of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Jordan Karamalakov, awarded SCAT airlines with a certificate of membership of IATA.

"SCAT started to move in this route three years ago, and two years have passed since the company passed the audit, which gives the right to receive the IOSA security certificate. On this basis, the airline was able to fly to Europe on the basis of the permission of the European Association for the Safety of Air Transport," Karamalakov said at the solemn ceremony of launching the first flight of the new Boeing-737 Max 8, Kazakh media outlets reported.

He stressed that the availability of this certificate opens new prospects for the airline in the field of cooperation with other air carriers on a global scale.

"From now on, 92 percent of passengers in Kazakhstan are able to use airlines that have an IOSA security certificate. This is a significant achievement for Kazakhstan in the field of civil aviation," Karamalakov said.
