Abu-Ghazaleh Chairs Panel Discussion for UNRWA Students, Shares Personal Experience

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh talked about the role of UNRWA in his life including the scholarship he received to attend university in Lebanon.
Faculty of Educational Sciences and Arts /the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) organized a panel discussion for HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh entitled “My Struggle” for students and faculty of the English Language Department in the presence of Dean of the Faculty Dr. Saleh Abu Jado.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh talked about the main highlights of his life, starting from his days as a student from a Palestinian family that found refuge in Lebanon, to becoming one of the most prominent and successful business leaders in the Arab world and globally. He told students that an individual should turn suffering into success and gave advice and guidance stressing that education is an effective tool for a successful future.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh reviewed the role played by UNRWA in his life including the scholarship he received from UNRWA which enabled him to attend the American University in Lebanon, pointing out that this scholarship is only awarded to the most outstanding and highest ranking students. Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh attributed much credit for his success to UNRWA expressing his gratitude He also said that success, happiness and excellence are goals determined by each individual that will inevitably materialise through determination.
He added that constant change is the secret of success and that the world is passing through a radical change of transformation towards the World of Knowledge that we have to meet and cope with, noting that the world is also shifting from a civil state into a creativity and innovation state.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh also addressed the students saying that international standing can not be achieved through persistence and determination alone, the biggest challenge is to maintain this standing and stay on top that is why Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization’s slogan is “We Work Hard to Stay First”.
For his part, Dr. Abu Jado welcomed Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh saying that Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh is a national, Arab and international prominent figure who started with nothing and managed to go global after confronting all challenges and obstacles. He also extended his gratitude to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh for the advice and guidance he offered to students who are in dire need for such advice that motivates them to excel, stating that the life of Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh is solid proof of the ability to reach success despite all challenges and that nothing is impossible.
