TAV Operation Services launches ‘meet & assist’ service at Santiago International Airport

CHILE. TAV Operation Services is now offering its ‘meet & assist’ concierge and lounge services at Arturo Merino Benítez Santiago International Airport in Chile.

The TAV company said the services are being operated under its primeclass brand. They include “fast and comfortable” travel experiences for passengers both before and after their flights, it said.

TAV Operation Services General Manager Ali Bora Isbulan said the company aims to welcome 280,000 passengers per year at its lounges, offering them meet & assist services

Santiago International becomes the 25th airport to be added to the primeclass portfolio. It is the seventh busiest airport in Latin America and handles 19.2 million passengers per year. The company also announced that Berlin Tegel International Airport had become the 26th airport to join the portfolio (see below).

TAV operates the lounge at Santiago International through a partnership with Servicios Aeroportuarios under the Primeclass Pacifico name.

“We are glad to add a new lounge to our existing operations,” said TAV Operation Services General Manager Ali Bora Isbulan. “Our company aims to welcome 280,000 passengers per year at our lounges and offer them meet & assist services.

“TAV Operation Services has become one of the world’s highly-preferred brands in creating privileged travel solutions. We host three million passengers at the lounges we operate and provide meet & assist services to 100,000 passengers per annum.”

Isbulan noted the Star Alliance lounges that were opened in Nairobi and Washington D.C. Dulles airports in 2016. He said the company would begin operations at lounges in Frankfurt, Muscat, Copenhagen and Zürich airports under the primeclass brand in 2017.

At Istanbul Atatürk Airport, the meet & assist services include being greeted at the airport by a primeclass hostess, who will handle border control, passport and customs transactions while the passenger rests at the airport lounge. Luggage is also collected by a porter. At the lounge itself TV, Wi-Fi, magazines and newspapers are offered prior to transfer to the aircraft 20 minutes before the flight in the company of a hostess.

The 150sq m lounge is located on the third floor of Terminal A and has a seating capacity of 35. It offers local and international newspapers and magazines, and features amenities such as Wi-Fi, PCs and TV screens. A range of food and drinks is also offered.
