Tibet Airlines has filed an application with the Civil Aviation Administration of China seeking to operate a thrice-weekly Xian-Kathmandu service.

The carrier plans to launch this service in September, which will replace itsexisting Chengdu-Lhasa-Kathmandu route. It intends to deploy either Airbus A319s or A330s on the route, says the Administration.

FlightGlobal schedules data shows that the airline will be the only operator on the Xian-Kathmandu route.
