It’s a sure sign of spring in the city: Boston’s iconic duck boats return to the streets this week.

Boston Duck Tours, which carries more than 525,000 guests each season on 28 amphibious vehicles through the city, kicks off its 31st season on Friday.

Tours will take place from the Museum of Science, Prudential Center, and the New England Aquarium seven days a week through the end of November.

“I can’t believe that after 30 years in Boston, the start of our season is still as exciting as ever,” said Cindy Brown, CEO of Boston Duck Tours, in a statement. “Working in a world-class city is an honor and privilege that we take seriously. Our goal is to show the history, beauty, diversity and culture of Boston to locals and visitors alike.”

During the 80-minute tour, the company’s tour guides, called ConDUCKtors, provide a narrated historic tour of Boston on vehicles that travel on both land and water.

Visitors are driven past Boston locations such as the Massachusetts State House, Boston Common, North End, Prudential Tower, and Quincy Market, before plunging into the Charles River where they can view the Boston and Cambridge skylines from the water.

The boats have carried Boston’s championship teams and reality TV stars over the years.

For those who speak another language, the company’s app provides narration in 10 languages including Spanish, German, Mandarin, French, Japanese, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean and Cantonese.

Tickets cost $54.99 for adults, $45.99 for seniors and active military, $39.99 for children age 3-11, and $10.99 for infants under age 3.

The company is currently hiring full-time experienced commercial driver’s license (CDL) drivers and mechanics and is offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
