Who painted Donald Trump’s ‘worst’ Colorado Capitol portrait?
“I would much prefer not having a picture than having this one,” US President Donald Trump said, as he came across his portrait at the Colorado Capitol, which has been displayed for about 5 years. On Mar. 24, the President asked Governor Jared Polis to take down the portrait which was ‘purposefully distorted’.
“Nobody likes a bad picture or painting of themselves, but the one in Colorado, in the State Capitol, put up by the Governor, along with all other Presidents, was purposefully distorted to a level that even I, perhaps, have never seen before,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. He dubbed it as ‘truly the worst’ portrait of him.

During her conversations with the outlet in 2018, and 2019, the artist stated that her personal feelings about Donald Trump haven’t affected her work, “Any personal feelings about any subject are not relevant and are left outside the studio per my training to ‘leave those emotions at the door.”
“A portrait is not a political statement, but a representation of a human being,” she added.
