Mariam Kvrivishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of the Georgian Dream, believes that the entry of Air Serbia into the Georgian aviation market is proof that Georgia is a popular tourist destination this year.
According to Kvrivishvili, the entry of a new European airline into the country's market is an indicator of positive dynamics.
“Air Serbia’s decision to start operations this year, starting in June, certainly emphasizes that the current tourist season will be particularly successful. This is a completely new direction for the tourism and aviation sectors of our country, which means that we will be able to attract additional tourist flows from yet another, new country, and the existence of direct flights will contribute to this. Of course, direct flights from Serbia, on the one hand, will be an additional incentive for the diversification of the tourism sector and tourist flows, and on the other hand, will strengthen Georgian entrepreneurs involved in the tourism sector, which will have a positive impact on strengthening the industry and the economy of our country,” said Kvrivishvili.
Starting June 15, a new European airline, Air Serbia, will enter the Georgian aviation market.
