Huge airline adds extra flights to four popular sun destinations from Glasgow this winter

Escape the winter blues and jet off to somewhere warm and sunny

THERE’S good news for Scots who want to escape the miserable Scottish winter this year as one of the UK’s biggest airlines has announced a ‘massive’ expansion of flights to sunnier climes.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will add extra services to four destinations in their Winter Sun programme from Glasgow airport.

The new flights will take off for Malaga, Alicante, Faro and Malta between November and March, giving holidaymakers plenty of choice and flexibility when it comes to getting away.

The leading leisure airline and UK’s leading tour operator will add extra flights to Malaga in November, as well as new weekend flights over Christmas and New Year.

There will be new Tuesday services to Faro from October 28- November 18 and additional departures to Malta in November and March 2026.

And they have added extra Saturday services to Alicante from January 10- February 7, 2026.
