Vaso Urushadze: The Ukrainian government's sanctioning of the leading national airline of Georgia is a signal that this process will be irreversible and sanctions from the Western partners will follow

According to Vaso Urushadze, secretary of the anti-corruption department of the United National Movement, the Ukrainian government's sanctioning of the leading national airline of Georgia is a signal that this process will be irreversible and will be followed by sanctions from the Western partners.

According to him, this will harm the state interests of Georgia.

"The sanctioning of the leading national airline of Georgia by the Ukrainian authorities is a signal that these sanctions will be irreversible and this will be followed by the decisions made by the European Union, Great Britain and the United States of America, which will be harmful to the interests of the state and to the aviation sector of Georgia, because the aviation of our country has become significantly closer to the European Union in the last 15 years. In fact, we, the civil aviation of Georgia is a member of the European Civil Aviation Agency, air navigation is a member of Eurocontrol, and all this is a result of great work and effort. Irakli Gharibashvili, Bidzina Ivanishvili, Irakli Kobakhidze and Tamaz Gaiashvili are wasting this. It undermines the future of our country, it undermines the development perspective of Georgian aviation, because they only satisfy their corrupt interests and meet the demands that come today from Putin's terrorist regime and the Kremlin. All this sacrifices the interests of Georgia, the interests of Georgian aviation and the development perspective of Georgia, because we have the greatest development perspective in the aviation sector. Our task and goal should be to integrate into the European family, both state structures as a whole, as well as aviation, in order to receive the benefits associated with the development of the aviation sector, the creation of additional jobs, the condition of the economy, and the improvement of security. At this time, there are people in the country who are pushing Georgia towards the Russian swamp. This is the Russian quagmire where we may find ourselves behind the iron curtain that today isolates Russia from the civilized world. All this is done by a few people for their personal interests, to satisfy their personal corrupt and financial interests, and only because they have certain duties towards Putin's terrorist regime, which contradicts the majority of the population of Georgia, national interests, state interests, and this is a crime against the state. These people who commit this crime will definitely be held accountable legally, politically, economically, and this process has already started. These sanctions are an economic responsibility that will be very expensive for these people who commit this specific crime, this is also a historical responsibility that will be imposed on the people who are against the interests of Georgia in this process," said Vaso Urushadze, whose comments were spread by United National Movement press office.
