Sikorsky Books $120M Contract to Support US, International H-53 Military Helicopters

Lockheed Martin‘s (NYSE: LMT) Sikorsky subsidiary will engineer H-53 heavy-lift transport helicopters for the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and foreign military sales customers as part of a five-year, $120 million contract.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award includes logistics and modification installation support for the H-53 platform, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

Contract work will primarily occur in Stratford, Connecticut, and other locations within the continental U.S. through March 2028.

Naval Air Systems Command issued the contract on a sole source basis and will obligate funds as individual orders are issued.

Sikorsky secured the work nearly three months after the Navy’s acquisition office cleared the CH-53K King Stallion program to enter the full-rate production and deployment phase. The aircraft is scheduled to achieve full operational capability in fiscal year 2029.
