Flair Airlines Boeing 737 Overruns Runway in Canada

Early on the 25th of November, a Flair Airlines Boeing 737 ran off the runway after landing at Region of Waterloo International Airport, Canada.

The 12-year-old aircraft with registration C-FFLC performing flight F8501 from Vancouver to Waterloo, Canada landed on runway 26 at 06:25LT but overran the end of the runway and came to a stop on the soft ground about 140 meters past the end of the runway.

At the time of the landing, the local METAR weather consisted of rain and gusty winds up to 25 knots. Waterloo airport stayed closed to traffic the rest of the day and the Transportation Safety Board (TSB) was sent to the airport to investigate the incident.

None of the 134 passengers and 6 crew sustained injuries.
