Four countries were moved to the amber list in the latest travel review, but what are the rules for visiting?

As of June 19, rules for double-jabbed Brits have been relaxed, allowing people with both vaccinations to visit amber list destinations without having to isolate on their return.

The policy was also extended to tourists visiting from countries on the amber list in a bid to kick-start the tourism industry following the pandemic whilst avoiding a spike in cases.

The protocol has not been extended to people arriving into the UK from red list countries. People arriving into Heathrow Airport from countries like Pakistan or Costa Rica will still have to isolate in a quarantine hotel for up to two weeks.

Four countries have been added to the red and amber lists.

The latest announcement saw Bahrain, India, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates go amber, and Mexico, Mayotte, Réunion and Georgia.

The changes came into force at 4am on Sunday, August 8.

The review offered families a last chance to get away before the new school year began – the next announcement is not due until August 25th
