Frontier Airlines is landing back into Grand Junction with new nonstop flights starting June 8. People can fly to Colorado’s capital at a much lower rate. To celebrate its return to the valley, Frontier has one way flights to Denver for nineteen dollars.
Airport officials are ecstatic to have low fares done right in the Western Slope.
“The timing of this announcement is perfect to capture this pent-up demand for air travel this summer,” Angela Padalecki expresses, “People have been dreaming about traveling, going to see friends and family, going on fun vacations and, so, this service is being added just in time to capture that demand.”
From Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend, plane tickets are flying in and out. Frontier is focused on more than just low fares. The carrier wants customers to customize travel to their budget and needs.
Getting affordable nonstop service to Denver is what many local flyers have been waiting for.
“I think the seats sell out on many of the carriers that are already here,” Jeff Taets shares, “so having another carrier to offer more seats, I think it’s gonna help us all in the community”
For the summer’s peak, multiple other carriers are adding more flights as well. Frontier’s nonstop service sees no end after September.
As of now, the $19 offer for summer flights can be purchased until April 19 at 10 p.m. Mountain time. Fares are valid for travel on select days effective June 8, 2021 through Sept. 7, 2021. The following blackout dates apply: June 30-Jul. 7, 2021; Sept. 1-7, 2021. Round-trip purchase is not required.
