    Jet's would be owner also planning airport, airline in Uzbekistan

    Murari Lal Jalan, the lead member of the Kalrock-Jalan consortium, is in talks with the government of Uzbekistan to develop an airport and an airline, showed documents filed with India’s bankruptcy court.

    The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) is hearing the Kalrock-Jalan consortium’s revival plan for bankrupt carrier Jet Airways. The plan was approved in October.

    The documents showed Jalan is planning to build an airport in Namangan city in Uzbekistan. He plans also to launch an airline from the city: a full service carrier with 25 planes including widebodies like the Airbus A330 and Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The carrier will also have a charter airline subsidiary with private jets.
