(Rick Egan | The Salt Lake Tribune) XpresCheck, a Covid-19 testing site is now testing passengers at the Salt Lake City International Airport on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021.

The testing is located in the site formerly occupied by XpressSpa and is operated by that company, which has had its spas closed for months.

Only a couple of passengers took advantage of the testing on Wednesday, the first day of the service. These travelers were bound for Hawaii, which requires proof of a negative test by arriving passengers.

The testing site, which offers four private testing rooms for social distancing, is located in Concourse A, past the security checks.

The service is offered only for ticketed passengers and airport employees.

Rapid molecular COVID tests are available for $200 and are not covered by most insurance companies. A Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test is offered at $75 if not covered by insurance. A Blood Antibody Test, using a blood draw or finger prick, is available for $90.

The International Airport location will be open Thursday through Monday, 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. You can register online or get a drop-in test.
