Quality Hotel signs are being replaced by Best Western Plus at a 240-room large hotel near Copenhagen Airport

Best Western’s third largest hotel in Scandinavia opens today on a strategically important location near Copenhagen Airport. The hotel is rebranded from a Quality Hotel and has plans of renovating the entire property.

Quality Hotel signs are being replaced by Best Western Plus at a 240-room large hotel near Copenhagen Airport. Best Western Plus Airport Hotel Copenhagen is now part of one of the largest hotel brands in the world and offers a new loyalty program.

It was announced in August that the hotel in Copenhagen were going to rebrand, and now the day has come that the signage is being replaced. Best Western Plus is replacing Nordic Choice Hotels’ Quality brand. To Best Western’s hotel portfolio, this is a significant location near Copenhagen Airport and a large increase for the brand’s market share in Copenhagen – which counts two hotels in Copenhagen’s city center in addition to the new airport hotel. The new hotel is thus of great strategic importance to Best Western in Denmark.

It is a sought-after location with the growing airport nearby. The hotel has a large potential, and we are very happy that it is now part of Best Western,” said Soren Nystrom, Country Manager of Best Western Denmark, when the news were announced.

Adaptation is a necessity
Behind the hotel are owner Midstar Hotels AB, who also owns Grand Hotel and Hotel Marienlyst in Denmark, and operator Core Hospitality, who also operates Moxy Copenhagen and Hotel Marina.

According to Per Denker Sorensen, CEO of Core Hospitality, Best Western Plus was chosen “because we are buying into a strong, international distribution platform and a global loyalty program, which will make us more competitive. The market capacity in Copenhagen is realizing extreme growth in the coming years, and we need to adapt to the new market conditions. We believe that a chain with more than 4,000 hotels and 40 million loyalty members will contribute to securing the best positioning.”

The hotel is located in a peaceful area in the near vicinity of Copenhagen Airport. Having a metro station one stop from the airport and being able to travel on foot to the airport, guests have easy access to the hotel no matter their means of transportation. Guests will now, in addition to the existing facilities at the hotel, be able to benefit from the loyalty program Best Western Rewards, which allows members to earn and redeem bonus points at all Best Western hotels globally. If guests are already members of a competing loyalty program, the new loyalty program will match their existing member level, so they continue to receive the same, or better, benefits.

Not one day is alike at an international hotel like this one. For that reason, we consider each and every guest interaction unique. By rebranding to Best Western, we adhere to their mantra ’Same Different Everywhere’ and are allowed to adapt our operations to local demand. Being a Best Western Plus shows that we will go the extra mile and offer 4-star facilities to our guests,” says Sanne Faergsted, General Manager at Best Western Plus Airport Hotel Copenhagen.
