Firefighters battling a small brush fire in Lyman last week were able to save a grave site and a flag for a War of 1812 veteran.Private Gibeon Kimball was 33 when he died in 1817, according to his gravestone.A quarter-acre burned near the grave site, officials said."The flag on his grave was slightly singed but didn't burn," firefighters wrote on Facebook.Capt. Phil Daniels, of the Goodwins Mills Fire and Rescue department, was able to reset the flag after the firefight.

Firefighters battling a small brush fire in Lyman last week were able to save a grave site and a flag for a War of 1812 veteran.
