Business people NWA: Sharon Kay Little, Kelly Hokit, Laura Pace and more

Sharon Kay Little, DO, began in April at Mercy Clinic Primary Care -- Chaffee Crossing, 7003 Chad Colley Blvd., Barling, as a board-certified family medicine physician. She received a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Oklahoma State University's Center for Health Sciences in the College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her board certification is in osteopathic manipulative treatment with the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.

Kelly Hokit, APRN-CNP, MS, joined Mercy Clinic Cardiology, 7001 Rogers Ave., Suite 401, Fort Smith, in March as a certified nurse practitioner. She completed a master of science from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Ky.

Laura Pace, FNP, began in April at Mercy Clinic Primary Care -- Chaffee Crossing, 7003 Chad Colley Blvd., Barling, as a family nurse practitioner. She received a master of science in nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and a bachelor of science in nursing from Arkansas Tech University at Russellville.

Erica Nicole Traje Quitoriano-Aulakh, MSN, RN FNP-BC, joined Mercy Kids, 3224 S. 70th St. in Fort Smith in March as a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She completed a master of science and a bachelor of science in nursing from California State University at Fresno.

Whitney Marie Scantling, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, began in March at Mercy Clinic Family Medicine -- McAuley, 3420 S. 74th St., Fort Smith, as a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She was a cardiac intermediate at Mercy Hospital Fort Smith and has clinic experience that includes Mercy Clinic Primary Care and Mercy Clinic Family Medicine. She received a master of science in nursing from the University of South Alabama in Mobile and a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.

The board of directors of the Northwest Arkansas Tourism Association announced officers for the 2018-19 annual term, which began Tuesday . The officers were elected at the organization's April board meeting.

Molly Rawn was elected president. She is executive director of Experience Fayetteville. Rawn is on the board of the Northwest Arkansas Film Commission, the Arkansas Hospitality Association's Travel Council and the Arkansas Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus.

Kalene Griffith was re-elected vice-president. She is president and CEO of Visit Bentonville. She was recently appointed to the Arkansas State Parks and Tourism Commission and is a board member of the Arkansas Hospitality Association's Travel Council, Arkansas Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus, Bentonville Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Bentonville Inc., Bentonville Public Arts Advisory Board, Bentonville History Museum and the Scott Family Amazeum.

Sandy Martin was re-elected treasurer. She is the president and CEO of ProComm Communications, a company she founded in 1996. She is president of the Northwest Arkansas Film and Entertainment Commission, chairman of the Eureka Springs Arts Council, chairman of the Eureka Springs Mayor's Task Force on Economic Development and vice president of the Carroll County Airport Commission.

Cassi Lapp was re-elected secretary. She is communications manager for the City of Bella Vista and is contracted for tourism marketing and communications by Discover Bella Vista, the city's advertising and promotion commission. She is on the board of the Northwest Arkansas chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

Amber Ramsey joined Generations Bank in Siloam Springs as a teller. She was at First National Bank of NWA.

Linda L.M. Worley, M.D., was appointed the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences' associate dean for Northwest Arkansas. She is a psychiatrist and has worked for the school for more than 20 years. She founded the Women's Mental Health Program and has held numerous campus leadership positions in psychiatry. Worley is board certified in psychiatry and subspecialized in consultation-liaison psychiatry and serves as chairwoman of the American Psychiatric Association Scientific Program Committee. Worley received her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, where she also completed her residency in general psychiatry, including one year of fellowship training in child psychiatry.
