NEWBURGH, N.Y. >> One of the Marines stationed at Stewart Airport who died in a July 10 plane crash in Mississippi will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

Sgt. Julian Kevianne, 31, was among the 15 Marines and one Navy sailor who perished when the KC-130 transport and refueling plane in which they were flying crashed about 4 p.m. July 10 near Itta Bena, Miss.

Visitation for Kevianne’s family and close friends will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Doulin Newburgh Funeral Home, 318 N. Montgomery St., Newburgh. The family then will receive visitors from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Church, 42 Goshen Ave., Washingtonville.

Kevianne’s Arlington burial date was not immediately available.

Kevianne, a reservist originally from Dallas, joined the Marines on December 1, 2009, at age 23 and most recently served as a fixed-wing crew master. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Jennings-Kevianne; his mother, Tina Albo of Detroit; and brothers and a sister.

The KC-130 that crashed was part of the Stewart-based Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 452, Marine Aircraft Group 49, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing.

The plane was en route from North Carolina to California – carrying nine Marines from Stewart and six Marines and a Navy sailor from Camp Lejeune, N.C. – when it went down.

The cause of the crash has not been determined.
