GLO Airlines said it will pause operations July 15, 2017 while seeking a new aircraft operator.

GLO Airlines will suspend its daily nonstop flight from Memphis to New Orleans starting July 15.

GLO, announced Tuesday it's pausing operations nationwide while it searches for a "better operator" for its flights.

The New Orleans-based carrier has had ongoing performance issues with its contract aircraft operator, Corporate Flight Management. GLO cited the contractor's performance when filing for bankruptcy protection in April.

GLO has provided daily service since November 2015 between Memphis International Airport and Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. The route is flown by a 30-passenger Saab.

The airline said it was contacting passengers directly about refunds or other accommodations.

GLO founder and chief executive Trey Fayard said in a news release, "I started GLO to deliver a superior product to my hometown and other worthy local markets, and I refuse to settle for anything less. We look forward to returning to all markets and expanding further once the right partner is found."

Corporate Flight Management released a statement attributing operational problems to GLO Airlines, also known as FlyGLO.

The statement said in part, “We believe that FlyGLO’s suspension of service…is simply the result of an unproven business plan in an unforgiving industry.  Despite its continued efforts to avoid taking responsibility, the blame for FlyGLO’s shut down rests with FlyGLO alone.”
